Dr. Glanton is a seasoned school leader who has served as an English teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Leadership Development for more than 25 years. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and Doctoral Degree in Education.
He is dedicated to accept the challenge to improve student achievement, provide a climate conducive to academic success, and serve the students and community at Southwest DeKalb High School.
As a family man, he is a husband and father of three boys. He grew up in the DeKalb community and spent his formative years as the DeKalb NAACP Youth Council President and a student at Redan High School. Dr. Glanton is a self-proclaimed instructional-minded educational leader who supports positive student-teacher relationships. He is available and at your service!
